1 Understand the goal

Before you start writing, make sure you understand the purpose and the audience of the content. What is the main message you want to convey? What are the keywords and phrases you need to include? Who are you writing for and what are their needs and expectations? Having a clear goal will help you focus your research, structure your content, and avoid unnecessary distractions.

  • Understanding the goal of your content decides everything. If you know the goal then you can decide the tone, target audience, even content length. You can understand the goal of content from the vision and objectives of the business, or products. You want to inform the audience about the product or you want it to sell through your content. So if you don’t want to get tangled between different projects understand the goal of each writing.

In my humble opinion there are no 'difficult' projects. Some projects are more complex than others. If you see a project as difficult maybe you should reconsider whether or not to do the work. So the first thing is to decide if you can do the work. Then:1-Understand exactly what your clients wants2-Complete your project within the agreed upon turn around time (in other words don't miss the agreed upon deadline)3-Get agreement up front about how many edits you will do as a part of the project. If your client wants to make changes beyond grammatical adjustments after you submit you project have that discussion before you start. Hope this helps.

  • To effectively understand the goals of your SEO content writing project, follow these steps:* Clarify project objectives: Engage in discussions with project stakeholders to gain a clear understanding of the desired outcomes, target audience, and key performance indicators (KPIs).* Conduct keyword research: Identify high-volume, low-competition keywords that align with your project's goals and target audience's search intent. *Define content deliverables: Determine the type of content required, such as blog posts, articles, or landing pages, and establish a content calendar to ensure timely delivery.

2 Plan your outline

A good outline is essential for any SEO content writing project. It helps you organize your ideas, create a logical flow, and cover the main points. You can use tools like mind maps, bullet points, or headings to create your outline. You can also use the inverted pyramid model, which means starting with the most important information and then providing more details and supporting evidence.

  • Outline is the blueprint of your whole content. I usually make the outline in the start with all the main points about the topic because when you start writing, it is most likely that you will miss some important information. So the best solution is that you mention everything in your outline and if something comes up later you can add it to the outline.
