You want to inform the audience about the product or you want it to sell through your content. So if you don’t want to get tangled between different projects understand the goal of each writing.

In my humble opinion there are no 'difficult' projects. Some projects are more complex than others. If you see a project as difficult maybe you should reconsider whether or not to do the work. So the first thing is to decide if you can do the work. Then:1-Understand exactly what your clients wants2-Complete your project within the agreed upon turn around time (in other words don't miss the agreed upon deadline)3-Get agreement up front about how many edits you will do as a part of the project. If your client wants to make changes beyond grammatical adjustments after you submit you project have that discussion before you start. Hope this helps.

I usually make the outline in the start with all the main points about the topic because when you start writing, it is most likely that you will miss some important information. So the best solution is that you mention everything in your outline and if something comes up later you can add it to the outline.
